Each Goodbye

That was back when they were good at saying goodbye: kept it short and sweet with a promise to reunite. Less than a month later, the goodbye that entailed a month of long distance, undefined terms of a relationship, and a lot of passion was the first of many hard goodbyes to follow.

Snapshots of Inspiration

I grew up on Green Acres Lane and every time I talk about it the theme song to the late 1960’s TV Land show “Green Acres” plays on a loop in my head.  “Greeeen Acres is the place to be! Faaaarm livin’ is the life for me!”

Dirt flew across the paneled fence, splattering the faces of onlookers. Cowboy hats ducked slightly and the announcer cackled into the microphone, “That was quite the show, my friends.”
